What is ABA?
Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) is a scientific evidence approach that examines an individual’s interactions and responses within their environment and seeks to develop new skills and replace undesirable behaviors.
Using researched-based interventions, behavior therapists provide helpful alternatives to reduce undesirable behaviors, enhance social interactions, increase communication, and improve the life skills of individuals with Autism. ABA is the golden standard of care for those with Autism. It helps children flourish while making great strides, especially when implemented early.
ABA looks at where your child is now, and where they could be with the right support. It uses positive reinforcement to encourage appropriate behaviors and extinct inappropriate or destructive ones.
Children on the autism spectrum often struggle with social skills, communication, emotional regulation, attention, and more. ABA gives them the tools to improve in all of these areas and help them establish healthy daily routines. This gives families structure and support while setting children up for a life of independence.
